New Vena enabled asthma inhaler with IR & Bluetooth connectivity

Often asthma patients don't pay attention to how often they're using their inhalers. Now doctors could easily track the information on the dosage and usage time of the inhalers through the new Bluetooth enabled inhaler.

Cambrigdge Consultants have announced the new Vena enabled asthma inhaler with the IR and Bluetooth connectivity.

Vena Inhaler with IR & Bluetooth connectivity

The Wireless Vena inhaler is comprised of Bluetooth Health Device Profile (HDP) and the IR based IEEE11073 for transfering the data. Information on the patient’s inhaling usage and their scheduled time for the next dose can be tracked from this device by connecting it to computer or smartphones.

This will help the doctors to suggest improvement in the patient’s respiratory health. This would also be useful to the researchers and statistician to find the trend.

For knowing more information on this, attend the Respiratory Drug Delivery Europe 2009 conference which will be held in Lisbon, Portugal and in Germany later this month.
