Hey it’s striking news! Now Wireless HD to get legalized in U.K. Ofcom
has agreed to free up the UK
electromagnetic spectrum to allow the high definition content wirelessly in all
homes. This means that we will no longer have cables between the TV and BD
players/ set top box. So say goodbye to your HDMI cable. Well it’s a pretty
good idea of streaming downloaded HD content straight away from the PC.
The interesting part about this story is that, Ofcom have made an
announcement and said that they’ll free up the small 57GHz-66GHz part of the
spectrum by the end of this week. It’s too quick? And I wonder if we could get
a pair of GHz of airwave. So let’s wait and watch.
