As the name suggests DJ Hero Wii gives you the opportunity to be your own DJ for the party. What you have to do throughout the game is earn stars through your DJ skills to unlock new songs to mix them with other songs and create new songs as well as customize characters and costumes.

Several in house DJs at Freestyle games office and well known DJs like Grandmaster Flash and Shadow contributed to the making of the many mixes in DJ Hero Wii. The game has a good mix of almost 102 original songs to produce 93 copyright songs for the game. You will not find these songs anywhere else. If you want to just sit and listen to the songs then you can do so by enabling “party play”.

DJ Hero Wii is different from the many music games we have come across so far. What makes it all that different is its controller. The game has turntable controller a completely new concept. It will actually need some time while you catch up the skills to use the controller.

The turntable controller can be easily operated single handedly. The first half of controller is the record platter accompanied by three buttons. The other half is for mixing songs and includes effects knob, cross fader, the native controls to match the console on which it is to be played and euphoria button. The euphoria button gives the player the star power. The best part of the controller is in case if you are left handed then you can actually separate the halves and flip sides to make it comfortable for you.
